It is often the case that in order to get a project done, we must let other projects slide for a time.

If we are stuck on maintaining all things per usual even when something extraordinary is on our plate, even that extraordinary is brought down to ordinary.

Rather, ensuring the freedom to let the dishes pile up, certain conversations to be put on hold, and the ‘normal’ of our days to take a back seat for a time, honors the big projects.

This must be done every so often. For it is the big projects that leverage our strengths forward, that harness our particular genius in a new way, and that generally launch us to that next level in a way that will never happen if we must keep everything as usual.

Big projects, the kinds that change our life, are not usual, and should not be relegated so.
