Go for Broke

Too often we try to control situations so that we don’t have to grieve.

We manage and micro-manage so we don’t have to do the hard work of saying, “This isn’t working for me.”

We would much rather change others, than take hard (and heartbreaking) stands ourselves.

Perhaps 2013 is the year to ‘man-up’.

Perhaps 2013 is the year to do the hard work and take the hard stand.

We keep mucking about in mud-puddles. Waiting on others, never realizing that our passivity and fear are eroding the relationship. Sands are seeping out from under our feet.

Better to take hard stands sooner than later. Refuse to control and to manipulate. Go for broke.

You never know what life will spring from it.
