The emotion you attach to your intentions, is just as powerful, (even more powerful), than the intentions themselves.
Have a positive intention with negative emotion and guess what, you get a negative intention.
A negative times a positive is always a negative after all.
Shift your emotions by:
1. Not being so hard on yourself, give yourself the benefit of the doubt and go forward in process and growth.
2. Change your wording to leave space for improvement.
For instance, instead of saying “I will lose weight” with all the negative failing and previous inability wound up in that statement, say “I am in the process of losing weight”.
This changes your emotional set point, can you feel it?
You don’t want to be receiving your negative intentions after all.
