It was the year 2000. I had begun my own inner-healing journey. The Lord was slowly yet surely coming to the doors of my heart and knocking. We began with the door to self-sufficiency, which then led to the room of pride. We continued on through rooms of fear, hatred, jealousy, greed, idolatries, and more, many more.
And bit by bit the Holy Spirit began blowing through, cleansing my heart, healing my soul and mind, bringing me to wholeness and health in God. I found myself, my real self as created by the Lord. I found the Lord. Though I had accepted Christ as my saviour at six years of age it was not until I was in my mid-thirties that I experienced Christ in a whole new way – Jesus became my friend.
And the Lord began taking me into a vision – God and I standing on a cliff overlooking a great vast expanse. As far as I could see there were rolling hills upon rolling hills completely covered with trees. The Lord said to me, “Every tree that you see represents a life whose your words will touch.”
I’ve been growing into this vision for some years now.
A leadership coach by trade, and a pastor by heart, today I am facilitating the Lord’s good healing to hearts and minds as prayer minister, as preacher, as teacher, as friend, alongside those whose hearts are set on Christ. I notice what is broken and together we set to make right, to heal, to restore, to transform, all in the name of Jesus. All things are brought into wholeness with the touch and presence of God.
I am author of a topical Bible study called Capturing God’s Heart as well as College of Capturing Courage International Ministries, a one-year intensive and transformational course for pastors and lay-leaders around the world.
I’m doing this work via Capturing Courage International Ministries overseas and as a healing prayer minister here at home. I live in the Greater Vancouver area of British Columbia, Canada. I spend half of my time at home and half of my time in ministry travel equipping and encouraging pastors and lay-leaders, bringing hope and healing to the body of Christ around the world.
All of this is awesome and fearsome work – a great privilege indeed.
“Then she was on the road. She preached with joyful urgency that life could be radically different; right and left she sent the demons packing; she brought wellness to the sick, anointing their bodies, healing their spirits.” Mark 6:12-13 The Message
