You might need to take a pause. Or, perhaps you are already in a pause.
No matter, pauses are good for your soul, body, mind, spirit and the work you are about.
( I am speaking to high-driving folk, if you are always on pause you might want to get going with something, anything! )
A pause, a true pause ( not the, I’m in the dessert because of my unbelief and lack of courage kind of pause ), but a true pause, is essential to your life.

It is bad taste to demand that someone move from one grief only to focus on your primary grief.
I’ve seen this happening quite a bit this last week.
The world is grieving for what happened in Paris and unbelievably cries are heard, ‘Don’t forget Nigeria’, ‘Don’t forget Syria’, ‘Don’t forget (insert your favourite zeal)’
It is bad taste because in demanding attention there is no attention given.

I’m nearly a week in to a sabbatical of sorts. For the better part of April I am stepping back from the intense reading and writing schedule that I was on. While I’m still keeping with my Monday to Friday’s Teaching People How to Pray posts, and while my social media presence has not been much interrupted, behind the scenes I’ve been resting more, working less, with more hours than usual just silent before the Lord unloading all my doubts and fears and insecurities to Him.
