Alongside soft hearts, must come firm parameters.
Soft hearts do not mean we are door-mats. Just the opposite in fact.
(Door-mats must have hard hearts, just to survive.)
Soft hearts, rather, say ‘No’, hold their spaces, are good with assertiveness, and are familiar with intimacy.
Soft hearts know themselves. Hard hearts are only guessing.
Soft hearts act. Hard hearts are only reacting.
